Evolution Studios has always been a strong proponent of educating the public. From having free video tutorials to posting informative blogs for public use, we do everything it can to help our users and the public be knowledgable on hosting and web site related topics.

In honor of the launch of our new website, we have launched a new forum so that the public and our users can conversate about a variety of different topics. It’s very difficult to start and maintain an active community of experienced and unexperienced internet users, and because of this we would like to launch some giveaways that will be given monthly and at certain milestones to random users. Every person that visits this website is allowed and encouraged to participate, it is not just open to Evolution Studios clients.

Every month, a user of this forum will be entered into a drawing to win a free prize. The number of entries into this contest is based soley on the amount of posts you make. If you join but never post you are not eligible. If you join and post 100 posts, you are entered into the contest 100 times. All winners are selected randomly by a computer and no staff member or contractor of Evolution Studios is eligible. We also encourage you to read the Rules post regarding what is or isn’t a suitable post in the forum.

Secondly, upon each membership milestone set by Evolution Studios, a free prize will be given away. This prize is not based on the number of posts, but merely your membership status. All active members of the Evolution Studios forum will be eligible to win this prize. Current milestones are:

For the last couple months, we’ve had the privilege of working with who WE consider to be one of the best web designers out there, Joseph Holst out in St. Louis, MO.  We’re so very glad to call him one of our team members here at Evolution Studios.

We met Joseph through our awesome friends at Ping.fm, as we knew he had done some work with them on their site, and we were asking around if anyone knew a designer / html/css guy that we could work with to expand our design team (incidentally, one of the other killer outcomes of that whole exchange is that Evolution Studios is now the official media host of ping.fm …so pats on everyone’s back for that as well).

As any creative firm / design agency can tell you, it’s really tough — some say nigh on impossible — to design your own marketing materials, brand and market youself effectively, etc.  We’ve only had our doors officially open as Evolution Studios for about 5 or 6 months, and we’ve gone through about as many incarnations of our ’site design, not completely satisified w/ any of them.

With his new design of our site, he’s captured everything we’ve had in our heads that we wanted to communicate about our brand — our love of  and being inspired by nature, our passion and desire to make technology easy for business owners to understand and use, and the creation of simple, easy-to-use interfaces.  We’re head-over-heels in love w/ this new design and we anticipate keeping it for quite some time.

This weekend we will be doing server maintenance and upgrades which will result in the loss of all previous name servers. Please ensure your domain names are pointed to the right name servers as soon as possible to ensure continued uptime.
